The CXLB7388X series are highly integrated single cellS0X嘉泰姆

Li-Ion/Polymer battery charger IC designed for handheldS0X嘉泰姆

devices. The CXLB7388X accepts two power inputs,S0X嘉泰姆

normally one from a USB port and another one fromS0X嘉泰姆

AC-adaptor. The CXLB7388X automatically selects theS0X嘉泰姆

USB-Port or the AC-adapter as the power source for theS0X嘉泰姆

system. In the USB configuration, the host can select fromS0X嘉泰姆

the two preset charge rates of 100 mA and 500 mA. In theS0X嘉泰姆

AC−adapter configuration an external resistor sets theS0X嘉泰姆

magnitude of the charge current, which may beS0X嘉泰姆

programmed up to 1A.S0X嘉泰姆

The CXLB7388X charges the battery in three phases:S0X嘉泰姆

conditioning, constant current, and constant voltage.S0X嘉泰姆

Charge is terminated based on minimum current. AnS0X嘉泰姆

internal charge timer provides a backup safety for chargeS0X嘉泰姆

termination. The CXLB7388X automatically re-starts theS0X嘉泰姆

charge if the battery voltage falls below an internalS0X嘉泰姆

threshold. The CXLB7388X also automatically enters sleepS0X嘉泰姆

mode when both supplies are removed. No external senseS0X嘉泰姆

resistor or blocking diode is required for charging.S0X嘉泰姆

The CXLB7388X integrates internal power FET , currentS0X嘉泰姆

sensor, charge status and reverse current protection in aS0X嘉泰姆

single monolithic devices.S0X嘉泰姆
