The APL3200 ,APL3201 .APL3202, APL3207 charges a single-cell Li+ battery from both9iZ嘉泰姆

USB and AC adapter sources. It also includes battery-9iZ嘉泰姆

to-input power switchover, therefore, the system can be9iZ嘉泰姆

powered directly from the power source rather than from9iZ嘉泰姆

the battery.9iZ嘉泰姆

In its simplest application, the APL3200 doesn’t need9iZ嘉泰姆

external MOSFET or diodes and accepts input voltages9iZ嘉泰姆

up to 6.5V; however, DC input over-voltage protection up9iZ嘉泰姆

to 18V can be added with a single SOT PFET.9iZ嘉泰姆

On-chip thermal limiting simplifies PC board layout and9iZ嘉泰姆

allows optimum charging rate without the thermal9iZ嘉泰姆

limits imposed by worst-case battery and input voltage.9iZ嘉泰姆

When the APL3200 thermal limit is reached, the charger9iZ嘉泰姆

does not shut down but simply reduces charging current.9iZ嘉泰姆

Ambient or battery temperature can be monitored with9iZ嘉泰姆

an external thermistor. When the temperature is out of9iZ嘉泰姆

range, charging pauses.9iZ嘉泰姆

Other features include STAT 1 and STAT 2 outputs9iZ嘉泰姆

indicating various charge status. DC power-OK (DCOK),9iZ嘉泰姆
